I’m Good, Love, Enjoy

Let’s have a little heart-to-heart, shall we? Because I saw something today that didn’t just speak to me—it pulled up a chair, poured a glass of wine, and read my entire life back to me.

You know that quote? “I finally hit my ‘it ain’t even worth my energy’ stage. I’m good love enjoy.”

I felt that in my bones.

If you’ve been following me for a while, or if you just know me in real life, you know I am a woman who tries. I am a fixer. I am a “let me explain this one more time so you understand where I’m coming from” kind of girl. I used to be the Queen of Paragraph Texts. I would draft emails, screenshot receipts, and lay out my case like I was presenting a closing argument to the Supreme Court of Common Sense.

I used to think that if I just explained myself better, or if I just loved harder, or if I just proved my point louder, the other person would finally get it. They would snap out of their nonsense, look at me, and say, “Wow, Tina, you were right all along. Thank you for your guidance.”

That never happens.

Instead, you just end up exhausted. You end up with high blood pressure, a headache, and a phone full of text messages that no one actually read.

But recently? Oh, recently, something shifted. It wasn’t a loud explosion. It wasn’t a dramatic door slam. It was quiet. It was the sudden, beautiful realization that my peace is more expensive than their nonsense.

I call it the “I’m Good, Love, Enjoy” stage. And let me tell you, the air is thinner up here. It’s cleaner.

This stage is dangerous—not for me, but for anyone trying to drag me into their drama. Because the old Tina would have engaged. The old Tina would have called you out on your lies. The old Tina would have made sure everyone knew the truth.

The new Tina? The Tina who has hit this stage?

You want to lie about me? I’m good, love, enjoy.

You want to play the victim in a mess you created? I’m good, love, enjoy.

You want to act like you’re the prize when we both know the reality? I’m good, love, enjoy.

“I’m good” means I’m not playing anymore. I’m not arguing with people who are committed to misunderstanding me. I am retiring my jersey. I am hanging up my cleats. I am sitting on the sidelines with a Gatorade, watching you run in circles, and I am unbothered.

“Enjoy” is the best part. It’s not sarcastic (okay, maybe it’s a little sarcastic). But mostly, it’s permission. Go ahead! Enjoy your choices. Enjoy the reality you’ve built for yourself. Enjoy the lack of access to me. Because that’s what this stage really is: it’s an access revocation.

My energy is finite. I have a life to live, laughs to have, and peace to protect. I don’t have the budget for your circus anymore.

So, if you’re reading this and you feel like you’re constantly fighting to be heard, or constantly trying to manage someone else’s ego/emotions/bad decisions… stop. Just stop. Drop the rope. Let them win the argument. Let them have the last word. Let them paint you as the villain if it makes them sleep better at night.

Because while they’re busy doing all that, you’ll be busy doing something else: Being happy. Being unbothered. Being good.

Welcome to the stage. We have snacks, and it’s really quiet here.

XOXO,

Tina
