Hey everyone, welcome back to another post on Stories from Tina. Grab a drink, get comfortable, and let’s have a little honesty hour.
You all know I’m all about authenticity, accountability, and setting boundaries—it’s literally the foundation of this blog. I try to keep things as real and transparent as possible with you guys, which is why I need to address something that’s been making me laugh, rolling my eyes, and shaking my head all at the exact same time.
Let’s talk about the Stories from Tina Facebook pages.
Growing a platform and managing an online storefront takes a village. Well, maybe not a village, but it definitely takes more than just one tired person. So, here is my big, shocking confession for the day: I am not the only one monitoring my Facebook pages. Gasp! I know, right?
Delegating Behind the Scenes
I have a fantastic helper who manages the page with me. They are the ones doing a lot of the heavy lifting behind the scenes. They look at profiles, send follow requests, add people, and generally help fix up the page so it runs smoothly and reaches the right audience. It’s called delegating, and honestly, it’s the only way I survive.
But here is where it gets funny, and why I’m writing this post.
The Truth About Those Facebook Story Views
Apparently, some of you are seeing the Stories from Tina name pop up in your Facebook Story viewers, and you are having a whole moment about it. I’m talking about people rushing to take screenshots, sending them around, and getting themselves all worked up thinking, “Oh my gosh, Tina is stalking my page! Tina is watching my stories!”
I say this with all the love and bluntness in my heart: Please, do not go getting your head too big about it.
I need to burst that bubble right now. Nine times out of ten, it is not me. It’s my page admin doing their job to network and build the community. So if you see my name pop up on your story showing what you had for lunch or your weekend selfies, don’t flatter yourself into thinking I’m sitting in the dark analyzing your life.
A Reality Check on My Daily Schedule
Let’s be completely real for a second. If you know anything about me, you know my plate isn’t just full—it’s overflowing. Between making sure Noah and Maureen are good, surviving the absolute headache of my Biology labs, and working my shifts as an nurse , I am stretched thin. By the time I actually get a moment to breathe, I’m usually clinging to a massive Iced Tesora with heavy cream and sugar from Philz Coffee just trying to keep my eyes open.
No Time for Lurking or Drama
Do you really think I have the time, the energy, or the desire to monitor someone else’s Facebook stories?
And this goes double—no, triple—for the people who consider themselves an “enemy” or someone who has an issue with me. If we don’t vibe, or if you fall into the category of people who just want to find drama, why on earth would I spend my precious, limited free time checking up on you? I don’t. I have far better things to do. If I have downtime, I’m putting on some good music, writing my next blog post, or spending time with Mo and the kids. I am certainly not lurking on a hater’s social media.
A Friendly PSA to the Community
So, consider this a friendly, humorous PSA. The internet is a weird place, and social media can definitely make people feel like the main character in a movie that isn’t even filming. If you’re a genuine supporter of the blog, I appreciate you so much—and yes, I do love interacting with you guys when I’m actually the one logged in!
But for the folks taking screenshots of their story views like it’s a prized trophy? Put the camera roll away. Relax. Breathe. It’s just the algorithm and my admin putting in the work.
Stay grounded, stay authentic, and remember to keep your ego in check.
Until next time,
Tina
