Astronaut to Zookeeper

What alternative career paths have you considered or are interested in?

Hey there, my fabulous friends! It’s your girl Tina, back with another riveting tale from the life of yours truly. Today, I’m going to spill the beans on all the alternative career paths I’ve considered over the years, and let me tell you, it’s been quite the journey!

Now, let me start by saying that I’m the kind of person who can’t make up their mind to save their life. One day, I’m convinced I’m going to be the next Beyoncé, and the next, I’m planning to run off and join the circus (hey, don’t judge, the acrobats make it look like a lot of fun!). It’s a constant battle of “what do I want to be when I grow up?” and let me tell you, it’s enough to give a girl a serious case of whiplash.

But you know what they say, “the more options, the merrier!” And let me tell you, I’ve had more options than a kid in a candy store. From the practical to the downright bizarre, my career aspirations have run the gamut over the years. So, buckle up, because this is going to be one wild ride!

Let’s start with the classic – the astronaut dream. I mean, who hasn’t dreamed of blasting off into the great unknown, exploring the final frontier, and potentially becoming the first person to do the moonwalk on the actual moon? (Okay, maybe that last one is just me, but a girl can dream, right?)

I can just see it now – me, floating weightlessly in a sleek spacesuit, gazing out at the twinkling stars, and wondering if there are any aliens out there who might want to be my new BFFs. I’d be the coolest kid on the block, that’s for sure. Plus, think of all the amazing Instagram photos I could take!

Of course, the whole “rigorous training” and “potential for fiery death” aspects of the job have always been a bit of a deterrent. I mean, I can barely make it through a Zumba class without tripping over my own two feet, let alone endure the intense physical and mental challenges of astronaut boot camp. But hey, a girl can dream, right?

And then there’s the whole “zookeeper” thing. I don’t know what it is, but there’s just something about being surrounded by all those adorable animals that really speaks to my soul. I can just picture it now – me, strolling through the lion enclosure, hand-feeding the giraffes, and teaching the monkeys how to do the Macarena. It’d be like a real-life version of “The Lion King,” except with way less singing and a lot more laughter (and hopefully, a lot less poop-flinging).

Plus, think of all the cool Instagram content I could create! . I’d be the envy of every animal-loving influencer out there. And let’s be real, who wouldn’t want to be the person responsible for making sure the pandas get their daily dose of bamboo and belly rubs? Talk about a dream job!

Of course, the whole “getting peed on by a llama” and “potential for being mauled by a tiger” aspects of the job have always been a bit of a turnoff. But hey, a little danger never hurt anyone, right? (Okay, maybe that’s not the best way to look at it, but you get the idea.)

And let’s not forget about the time I was convinced I was going to be the next Oprah Winfrey. I mean, can you just imagine it – me, sitting in a plush armchair, interviewing the hottest celebrities and dispensing life-changing wisdom like it was my job? I’d be the queen of daytime TV, and my book club would be the envy of every bookworm on the planet.

Unfortunately, that dream was quickly dashed when I realized that I have the on-camera presence of a wet noodle and the interviewing skills of a toddler. But hey, a girl’s gotta dream, right?

So, there you have it, folks – the ever-evolving career aspirations of yours truly. From astronaut to zookeeper, with a brief detour into the world of daytime television, I’ve pretty much run the gamut when it comes to alternative job paths. And who knows, maybe one day I’ll actually follow through on one of these crazy dreams. After all, stranger things have happened in the life of Tina!

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to go practice my best “lion tamer” impression. You never know when that might come in handy, am I right?
