What time do you go to bed and wake up currently?

Hi friends!

I’m Tina, your friendly neighborhood night owl turned almost-lark! Today, I wanted to share a little ditty about a topic that’s both mundane and magical: sleep schedules. ‘What time do you go to bed and wake up currently?’ It’s such a simple question, yet it unlocks a treasure trove of tales, doesn’t it?

For the longest time, I was convinced that I was genetically programmed to be a night owl. You know, the kind of person who thrives when the world is cloaked in quiet and the stars are having their nightly party. There was something thrilling about the cozy silence at 2 AM, armed with a book in one hand and a cup of herbal tea in the other. My bedtimes often went toe-to-toe with owls, vampires, and those mysterious ‘last seen at 3:30 AM’ Facebook friends.

But, oh, how times change! Now, don’t get me wrong, I still cherish those late-night memories. Yet, in an unexpected plot twist that could rival the best rom-com finales, I’ve slowly (and begrudgingly) morphed into a morning person. Yes, you heard it right. I’ve traded in my late-night serenades for early morning symphonies.

Now, my bedtime is around 10 PM. I tried to make it a little later, I swear! But, my eyelids have a stubborn will of their own and they’ve decided that 10 PM is the final curtain call. I was worried I’d lose those magical late-hour sparks of creativity, but surprisingly enough, the early morning stillness has its own shimmering charm.

And waking up at the crack of dawn? That’s been another quirky adventure. Nowadays, I’m up by 6 AM – bright-eyed and bushy-tailed (well, sometimes more bleary-eyed and frazzled-haired, but you get the picture). There’s something almost comically serene about seeing the sun rise while clutching my first coffee of the day. My dog, Max, gives me a look that says, “Who are you and what have you done with my sleepy human?” Yet, off we go for our morning walk, with Max sniffing every blade of grass and me just trying to keep up with his canine enthusiasm.

What’s funny is, I’ve realized that no matter what time I go to bed or wake up, there’s a universal charm in those early and late hours alike. Whether you’re a night owl savoring the moonlight or a morning person basking in the sunrise, there’s always a little slice of magic in the quiet moments we carve out for ourselves.

So, spill the beans, my lovely readers. What does your sleep schedule look like these days? Are you pulling an all-nighter with a Netflix marathon or greeting the dawn with a yoga mat? Can’t wait to read your stories!

Sweet dreams and sunny mornings,

  • Tina 🌙☀️
