What are your daily habits?
Hey everyone! Tina here. I hope you’re all doing fantastic. Today, I want to delve into something that usually sparks a flurry of curiosity—daily habits. We all have them, but they can be so unique to each one of us that I thought it would be fun to share a glimpse of my day-to-day life.
The Morning Routine
My day usually starts at the crack of dawn—or well, sort of. I’ve always admired those who wake up with the sun, but let’s be real—I’m more of a “snooze the alarm a couple of times” kind of person. Once I finally manage to drag myself out of bed, the first thing I do is drink a glass of water. It’s a small step, but it really helps kickstart my day and wake me up.
I then move on to my morning skincare routine. I’ve found that taking those few extra minutes for self-care really sets a positive tone for the day. Cleanser, toner, moisturizer—the holy trinity. And no morning is complete without a good breakfast. I’m a sucker for avocado toast and a steaming cup of coffee. Simple, but oh-so-satisfying.
Work and Productivity
When it comes to work, I like to start fresh. Checking emails first thing after breakfast keeps me in the loop and allows me to prioritize tasks. I’m a big fan of to-do lists; there’s something incredibly satisfying about crossing off tasks one by one. It’s like a mini celebration each time I finish something!
I try my best to follow the Pomodoro Technique—25 minutes of focused work followed by a 5-minute break. It keeps me more productive and less prone to burnout.
Midday Movement
About halfway through the day, I make it a point to step away from my desk and move my body. Whether it’s a quick yoga session, a walk around the neighborhood, or even dancing like no one’s watching in my living room, physical movement really helps rejuvenate my energy. Plus, it’s a break for my eyes from the screen!
Evening Wind-Down
When the workday winds down, I turn my focus to unwinding. Cooking dinner is something I look forward to; it’s a way to express creativity and nourish myself. I’m on a quest to perfect my homemade pasta—still not quite there, but hey, practice makes perfect!
Post-dinner is my “me-time.” Whether it’s reading a good book, binge-watching a new series, or indulging in a relaxing bubble bath, this time is sacred. It’s my way to decompress and reflect on the day.
And of course, before bed, I go through my nighttime skincare routine. It’s like bookending my day with a bit of self-care.
Reflection
I like to take a few moments before sleeping to think about my day. What went well? What didn’t? This small act of reflection helps me end the day on a purposeful note, and sometimes, it gives me insights on how to tackle the next day better.
So there you have it—my daily habits in a nutshell. They might be simple, but they keep me grounded and motivated. I’d love to hear about your routines, too! Feel free to share in the comments below. Until next time, stay happy and healthy everyone!
Love,
Tina
